Shila Wilson is an IT Manager for American Airlines. She decided in college to use her love of science and her natural STEM brain mind-set to master the field of Information Technology. She now manages the American Airline's IT application development team in Dallas. She manages developers, project managers, and data analysts which support several applications. She has hired more than 50 IT professionals in her role and she trains them and prepares them to work effectively in the SaaS cycle she manages. Shila shifted from bio-medical interests to IT once she did research in IT and found the mind-set so similar for innovating and comprehending, in addition to the dynamic activity she saw happening in the IT development fields. The summer job she had been working in the field actually inspired her research and her experience working in the summer also showed her something else; she loved the challenge, versatility and limitlessness of the IT development arena.
