Shobna Kannusamy is an accomplished Pastry Chef and Owner of the Soirette Pastry Boutique. In this role, she applies dynamic leadership skill and unprecedented expertise in her craft to supervising three other pastry chefs as well as overseeing the creative vision and development of all operations. Soirette Pastry Boutique specializes in flavored macaroons, cakes, and providing the utmost in taste and style to every event. While in school for engineering, Ms. Kannusamy fell in love with baking during her studies and after a stint working in the engineering field, her true passion for pastry called to her. Ms. Kannusamy's work has appeared in several publications including Wedkocks Wedding, Real Weddings, and most recently the Toronto Star in 2018. Moving forward, Ms. Kannusamy hopes to expand her operation to additional locations in Canada. She credits her success thus far to trusting in the value of teamwork and to sharing her vision with those with a common goal. In her spare time, Ms. Kannusamy enjoys travel, music, and is a sponsor for the BC Cancer Founation.
