Selena Needham has over 6 years of experience in her current field. Selena was an accountant most of her professional life until she was diagnosed with a terminal illness and went back to school and chose her current career to help other women. Today, she counsels other women who have experienced family violence and abuse.
Selena has a Bachelor’s in Counseling from Wintec from 2014. She is a member of the New Zealand Association of Counselors. In May of 2019 Selena will be hosting her first seminar and will be presenting a UK researcher who will speak about ways of working with women and children who are victims of sexual and physical abuse.
In the future Selena hopes to have counselors combined with other professionals such as doctors, nurses and techs for counseling and treatment all in one place. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
