Susan is the General Manager for the Community Futures Development Corp. of Fraser Ft. George. She has been in her current position for 8 years. Community Futures is a Federal Nonprofit that handles business and community development in it's designated region, she oversees workshops and training, 1 on 1 services for startups, small business loans (up to $150,000) from a $6 million portfolio to help start or expand small businesses, partnering with banks and other institutions to provide larger loans, and supports growth in demographic or economic areas to develop growth. Susan is a guest lecturer at the University of Northern British Colombia. She still has the entrepreneurial spirit, and wants to go into executive/business coaching and leadership training. Outside of work she volunteers with Junior Achievement, a group that goes into schools to foster youth career and personal development, as well as locally, with Toastmasters.
