Susan Leibsohn is the Event Chair & Volunteer for Dress for Success Worldwide West. She has over 20 years experience in Fashion Design, she has owned her own clothing and manufacturing company. She was fortunate to marry her best friend, a man who gave her the oppurtunity to retire and become a volunteer for Dress for Success World. The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
Susan contributes to the Avon Walk, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and also the National Heart Assoc. She is a personal shopper for the clients of Dress for Success, and also is the event chair for their largest fundraiser called Shop for Success a 4-Day pop-up store where over 150 major brands donate product to stock the store which over 1000 of LA's most fashionable women and men come together to "Shop for a Cause". In the 1st year of Shop for Success $30,000 was raised in donations and last year raised over $170,000. To date Shop for Success has raised over $500,000 to help fund the programs for Dress for Success Worldwide West. Susan received her Associates Degree in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, skiing, football, cooking and the arts.
