Sylvie Percy is President of Besco an electrical distributor specialist in electrical solutions.. Sylvie has been a very accomplished Business Owner in Quebec, Canada for over four years. She has accumulated more than thirty years in the Electrical and Electronic Manufacturing full-service Industry. She has developed an exceptional expertise in sales management and development. In addition to be a remarkable negotiator, she excels in Engineering, Strategic Planning, Business Development, Business Restructuring, and Human Resource Development.
She purchased her business over four years ago when the company was experiencing a major decline. Upon acquisition, she undertook an extensive restructuration, including investment in human capital, operations and modernization of the premises. But most importantly organizational structure changes were implemented along with the company’s culture, strategies and direction to a full service electrical manufacturing and installation business. Since Besco has almost tripled its income.
Ms Percy worked for several years in all aspects of electrical including OEM, Panel Builders, Industrial Breakers, Transformers and Motor Protectors. Ms. Percy was employed as a Sales Manager by Schneider Electric for over eleven years until the company’s restructuration. She then turn this situation in opportunity to take a new challenge and realize her dream. Now she is proud to be one of the Top 50 Women Business Owners in Québec ! What an amazing accomplishment !
Sylvie is also a Triathlon competitor along with her son which is a third year student at the Polytechnique Montreal in Mechanical Engineering. His career ambitions are to eventually take over the company. Ms Percy is presently exploring ways and strategies involving sales and delivery channels to broader her business for international expansion. This includes building partnership aligned with the same goals. She acknowledges her success to determination and hard work. Ultimately she is looking forward to networking and connecting with other similar dedicated professionals sharing the same vision.
