Dr. Thecla Fitz-Lewis is the Director of Operations and Human Resource Resource Development Strategies for Lewis Industries Ltd. Lewis Industries Ltd has been existence from 1990 and continues to be St Lucia's Premier floor care and building maintenance services and product provider. Dr Fitz-Lewis's duty includes all elements of human resource management and developmental strategies, such as recruitment, compensation, benefits and rewards, policy development, planning and execution. She also engages in several consultations, and designs and facilitates training for both the public and private sectors. She also assists her husband in consulting on issues of Fire and smoke restoration, Microbial Remediation (mold and mildew) and water damage restoration and manage large contracts in the public and private sectors., Dr Fitz Lewis is best known for her skills in human resources management, policy analysis, higher learning consultancy and business development and strategic planning. Through her academic journey, she completed a Doctor of Business Administration in Leadership with a focus on Organizational Psychology from Walden University in 2018. Her dissertation (Human Resources Strategies for Retaining Employees in St. Lucian Banks) was published by Walden University in Scholar Works, and subsequently she has been interviewed by several business focused magazines and television stations. In the next few years she hopes to get more into philanthropy and give back more to the youth, marginalized women in business who need brand development and networking opportunities. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, contributing to journals and writing an autobiography of her life's trajectory to inspire single women and mothers.
