Tia Loya started working in the adult industry in 1983 as accounting staff with her boyfriend who became her husband in 1990. At that time, he owned 6 stores and together they built their business to 17 stores and a sex toy manufacturing company. In the early 1980's and early 90's almost all adult retail stores were the seedy men's type video stores. Tia took a female approach, attending design school and began designing stores for women, in clean, well lit, and beautiful locations geared toward females. The stores did very well. She created an advertising mascot called "Jungle Jane" and she was a big hit. The production company who helped Tia with her wanted to syndicate the idea and men from all over Eastern Washington (where the stores were) brought flowers to their store for Jungle Jane. The actress who played "Jungle Jane" in their commercials would frequently be approached by fans when she was out and about town. In the early 1990's, they partnered with Gene Wallace, a veteran sex toy manufacturer (now deceased) and he taught Tia how to make rubber sex toys. In 1999, Tia began preparation to bring a new line of sex toys to the table. She hired top sculptors from outside the adult industry, sculptors who already had works selling in acrylic, bronze and other sculptural art in galleries across the country and in Canada. In 2000, Tia started TSX Toys. TSX Toys is now a top US sex toy factory with more original designs than any other company in the world. Tia and her company and products have been referenced in multiple reality shows, and numerous industry publications such as Store Erotica, Exbiz Magazine and AVN. She is interested in networking, personalizing her brand and furthering any business opportunities. Tia credits her success to removing the words "can't" and "quit" from her vocabulary. Within the next 5 years, she sees herself being even more creative and innovative and manufacturing more products, and expanding her business.
