Mrs. De Luca Diez is a skilled professional with more than 25 years of experience, in both private and public sector. In the public sector Mrs. De Luca Diez, have been appointed and occupied important public offices, where she has had the opportunity to accomplish very important tasks. She has been a part of the economic team that negotiated with the International Financial Institutions, the economic recovery of the Republic of Panama, after the return to the democracy in her country. Also, had an important roll in the elaboration, discussion, approval and implementation of the package of laws that allow the modernization of the panamenian economy. In 2007, she was assigned by the President of Panama, General Director of the Panamenian Customs.
More than 25 years
Ms. Vilma De Luca Diez has been a partner at Consultores Juridicos Asociados since 2009, and has been a lawyer for 30 years. Vilma has spoken at numerous seminars and has served as Deputy Minister of Planning Officer, Deputy Minister of Economy Commissioned Officer and Superintendent of Banks, on several occasions.She was the last Director General of the Directorate General of Customs, Ministry of Finance, as well as the first Director General of the National Customs Authority. Vilma has been published in local Panamanian newspapers and magazines. She also spends time lecturing on Law at The University of Panama. Vilma is fluent in English, Italian, and Portuguese.
