Veronika Pountcheva is the Managing Director and Chair of the Board for METRO C&C. She is one of the two women in her country to be the country manager. She attributes her success to hard work, motivation, the passion for developing people, and truly caring about the end result of a job.
Veronika received her Post Graduate Degree in Executive Education from the London Business School, 2008, her Masters in Engineering from Technical University Sofia,1987, and her Masters in Economics from Universitet za Nacionalno i Svetovno Stopanstvo, 1988. She speaks at the LEAD annual conference and other Retail Conferences throughout the year.
Veronika handles Business Planning, Managing Operations, Purchasing, Compliance, Marketing, CRM, and Trademarks. In the future she would like to Network with other women from different industries and support and share ideas. When not working she enjoys cooking, reading, fashion, art, and european cinema.
