Véronique Bach has been in the field for 30 years. She is Senior Claims Advisor for Marsh, and leads her team- she is not a manager but a leader. She made this decision because she knows she's not a good manager, but she is a good teacher, and she knows her strengths and weaknesses.
She was inspired to choose this career by accident. She was studying law in France, and was doing an internship. She found the job so interesting and worthwhile she decided to stick to it. She thinks its almost time for her to retire, and right now her main objective would be to provide her knowledge to younger people, because she just discovered that most of what she's doing she had to find out on her own. She doesn't want younger people just starting their careers to have to go on their journeys alone. She wants to teach them how to handle claims and large clients, and she wants to pass on her knowledge.
She sees people stay in the company for two to three years, just long enough to get experience, and then they switch companies. She feels they get the knowledge, but don't understand the roots. She wants to give the roots. She has a Masters Degree in Private Law and International Business from François Rabelais University, 1991. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
