A graduate in chemistry of Université Notre Dame de la Paix, Namur, Dr. Steukers has a postgraduate qualification in industrial chemistry from the Katholieke Universiteit van Leuven and a Ph.D in chemistry from the University of Exeter. She has also pursed continuing professional development on the areas of environmental sustainability and business as well as courses in environmental law. She is fluent in French, Dutch and English.
