Dr. Waleska Crespo Rivera is currently the President of the University Central del Caribe. She is in charge of The School of Medicine, Health and Sciences, Internal Medicine Residents, and the only school of Chiropractors in Puerto Rico. An Experienced CEO, Waleska is seasoned in management of in hospitals and healthcare, as well as disease management, epidemiology, emerging medicine and prevention. She has worked as The President for nearly 1 1/2 years and has also worked as CEO of The Health South Rehabilitation Hospital of Manati. In charge of Operations, planning, organizing and direction hospital with financial and compliance in accordance with the laws and policies of the board and staff.
Previously, Waleska has worked as Executive Director of the Cardio Vascular Center of Puerto Rico and The Caribbean. She was also the Executive Director of The Center of Diabetes for Puerto Rico and the Hospital Administrator for Hospital Hermanos Melendez. She holds a PhD in Public Health and Health Systems Analysis and Management., and completed her Masters Degree in Health Services Administration from The University of Puerto Rico. She is a member of The Puerto Rican Hospital Association, American College of Health Care Executives, Hispanic Association of Colleges and University Executives, and Member of Local University Presidents in Puerto Rico.
A dynamic public speaker, Waleska has spoken at many conferences, and forums including the London World Federation of Chiropractors Uniqueness. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other likeminded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
