21-25 Years
Wilma Korfage has over 21 years of experience in her career, and is the founder, director and owner of Olino Paperworks International. She established the company in 1998, starting it from nothing, and has built the company steadily over the years. The firm offers a high quality handmade paper product, and she had traveled to where the origin of the paper was and saw an opportunity to help the people and grow in business. Previously, Wilma was in the textile business, and then took time out to care for her newborn child. One day a friend immigrated from Thailand, and he visited her and showed her the paper, and suggested she should start a business. She took his advice to heart, and she did. Wilma's area of expertise is in her ability to translate the wishes from customers and to connect it to what is possible in the country, due to them not having all the materials available in country. She holds a bachelor's degree in Textiles & Economics from a University in Netherlands, class of 1984. Her work has been featured in magazines and other industry publications, and she has evolved and grown the company through innovative ideas, such as a range of funeral companies with which they sell a special memory box for family to remember their loved one. She credits her success to hard work, dedication, and building strong relationships.
