Yana Klimava is Product Designer and Industrial Design Partner at Design 1st Inc., where she is continually meeting the needs of broad clientele. A contract instructor at Carleton University, her alma mater, Yana teaches the IDES 2302 Studio course. She works with students to help them develop skills and knowledge in areas of product search, user-centered design, concept generation, prototyping, manufacturable product solutions and communication techniques.
Yana’s degree is in Industrial Design. She has an extensive art background and has received several awards, including one from Carleton University, for highest academic standing in industrial design. She finds great reward in collaborating with her clients and helping them in their design needs. In her spare time, Yana enjoys power boarding, running, and languages.
