Yulia Chekunaeva is an experienced financial services professional with more than 13 years of expertise related to Basic materials across Debt and Equity product lines in Investment Banking.
She is current employed as Executive Director within the European part of Global Investment Research of Goldman Sachs, where she covers EMEA Metals and Mining equities. She stepped into her current position in 2010 by joining Goldman Sachs Moscow office.
Since joining Goldman Sachs, Yulia has significantly ramped up metals and mining stocks coverage first starting with Russian companies and then expanding into Africa, CIS, CEE3, Turkey. Prior to her current position, she held numerous positions at Sberbank, the largest bank in Russia, building up a successful career over 7 years with the Bank starting as summer intern in project finance department for oil and gas to Head of corporate finance for metals and mining. She has an MSc in Economics and Finance from Warwick Business School and a BSc in Banking and Finance from the University of London (London School of Economics and Political Sciences). Yulia is member of Women in Mining Association and she is an ambassador for University of Warwick.
