Abigale M. Ward-George is an Administrative Officer for Virgin Islands Police Department. Abigail has been in this profession for 31 years and at the training academy for 21 years. She worked her way up the system and is now solely responsible for overseeing the on boarding, management and all administrative and payroll matters relating to the new trainees at the police academy.
She does not have a university degree but did take several courses. She raised her two children and she has received awards within the police section for her hard work. She feels the key to her success is that she is fair and follows instructions well. She does see herself continuing to work in this field and to grow over the next 3-5 years.
The highlight of her career is when each training class graduates their new members as she understands all the hard work that the process entails. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
