Anita Nouri is CEO and Founder of Green Energy Solutions and Sustainability LLC, a Dubai based Company that is targeting landfill gas to energy projects in the region. Having established the firm in 2011, she works with governmental organizations and oversees new business development. She has gained recognition for pioneering the first landfill gas to energy project in the region and speaks at many industry related events to promote the need to degas all landfills and utilize the power to supporting industry. She is also working on new technologies in regards to environmental solutions that can benefit the world we live in and provide a sustainable healthy environment for generations to come.
Originally from Canada, Anita recognized a need to identify new and innovative ways to help make sustainability a priority and possibility in the United Arab Emirates. In addition to the WAoFP, she is a member of Women in Engineering, and is a recognized expert in waste management and power generation she has served on several panels in the engineering sector, environmental sector, and is an advocate for the advancement of women in the industry.
Looking ahead, Anita would like to bring more awareness to her mission to degas all landfills, and the increase the application of their work throughout the country. "In a region that is still land-filling we need to degas all landfills and utilize the gas for power" She credits her success to hard work, determination and passion.
