Chaylene Wilkins is Division Manager of Occupational Safety for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Having worked as an environmental consultant, she had the opportunity to become a local safety rep with the office, and was given the opportunity to do it at a corporate regional level. She looks after anything regarding ergonomics, risk mitigation and assessment, and supply chain and logistics needs. She also oversees incident investigations, and helps to shape and drive policy. Chaylene holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Management from Lakeland College, class of 2006. In addition to the WAoFP, she is a member of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering and Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals. She is in the process of starting in a local chapter of Women in Occupational Safety, as well. She credits her success to perseverance.
