I practiced professional swimming from 6 to 16 years old and was the best swimmer of my country; the best awards I had are: Swimmer of the Year in 1989, Athlete of the Year in 1996. I had approximately 35 national records in Guatemala and record in 400 Individual Medley of Centroamerica. When I was a teenager I also loved to practice Volleyball at school, and now I´m practicing Tae-Bo and Spinnig. I love to sing, specially Gospel Music, and I used to be a singer in some churches where I congregated.
I have two kids, my son Elías David, who´s 17 years old, my daughter Ana Raquel, who´s 11 years old; they´re both swimmers, especially my daughter, who is a great student too; my son loves Math, Robotics and Computers. I have been married with my husband Nestor since 18 years ago.
I graduated from Medical School on 2005. Since I´m practicing medicine I always try to give love, comprehension, and compassion mixed with science to my patients. I love to use semiology and deduction method to investigate my patients illnesses. In my country I have learned so much interventional procedures and semiology because we have no restriction on the evaluation and treatment of patients. I worked at Hospital San Juan de Dios in Guatemala City for 8 years, at the Unit of Attention to the Chronic Kidney Disease Patient (UNAERC) on 2005, 2011, and from 2015 to 2018; I also worked at the National League against Cancer (INCAN) from 2016 to 2017. Now I am practicing at my private clinic, attending several private hospitals through Guatemala City.

Claudia Estrada is CEO and Owner of own clinic, Edificio Las Brisas, established 3 years ago. She works in a medical clinic and has patients to tend to daily. She evaluates them and diagnoses illnesses with different nephrology issues. She saw patients suffering so much due to a lack of funds and wanted to help the less fortunate, so she opened the clinic. She holds a Master's Degree in General Nephrology for adults specifically from the University of San Carlos de Guatemala, 2015. She is a member of the Guatemala Society of Nephrology, Guatemala Society of Internal Medicine and the Latino Society of Nephrology and Hypertension. In the future she is planning to get licensed to work in the United States and go to work on the United States in order to get the best education in nephrology and transplantation to help more patients. She credits her success to preparation and determination. In her personal story, she suffered from a horrible disease and survived it. She completed her education and continued to pursue her career. She enjoys Tae-bo and Spinning in her spare time. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
