Claudette Thomas is a Government Archivist for Jamaica Archives & Records Dept. She has over 21 years of professional experience in her field. During her day she works in administration and provides guidance to the government for effective record management. She came into this field by way on natural progression. Claudette’s expertise are in training and records management. She has a Master’s Degree in Information Studies from the University of the West Indies in 2009. She is a member of the International Federation of Academic Unit Association. She doesn’t do any public speaking at this time. Claudette has been published in a few journals. In the next few years Claudette hopes to start her own business regarding information services. She says the key to her success has been being highly motivated internally. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
