Ebru Boysan is Central Bank and Government Financial Agency Manager for Bloomberg. With 23 years at Bloomberg Media, Ebru is part of start-up commercial group in Dubai covering emerging markets including Dubai, the Middle East and Africa.
She works with all government agencies in a semi adversarial role, and also teaches financial competency and about financial markets to women at the local university. She studied Finance and Business in school, and started out in Bloomberg in New York and also worked in their UK office handling emerging markets. She taught in New York and collaborated with World Bank Officials along with her supervisor in Washington DC.
Ebru is a fixed income analyst (regulation, liquidity, risk), and holds a Masters Degree in Finance from Lancaster University, UK, 1996. She is a member of FSBC, an informal group based in NY that consults in developing countries, providing grants and conducting workshops.
In the next few years, she wants to continue at Bloomberg, write books about the changing financial structures in the gulf, and become more involved in academics and possible consult.She credits her success to setting goals and achieving them, as well as being courageous.
