Edith Castro is the CFO for FONHAPO and has twenty two years of experience. On an average day she is in charge of developing the trust and is also in charge of low income housing. She is also in charge of closing the trust with the National housing Commission. It takes two years to close the trust. She is in charge of publishing new policies and developing a new product. Edith always wanted to improve things in the low income sector of the country. She always wanted to see that all the earnings could happen, and to see that he money used to help low income housing. Her area of expertise is the housing sector and she found the opportunity to get involved. She has a Master's degree in Operational Research from the London School of Economics and graduated in 2003. She belongs to the alumni university group that belongs to the area. She also belongs to the committee that takes care of the infrastructure. She use to work together with the world bank and was apart of the speakers to show what they have done. In the next three to five years she will still be working with the government and would like to go back to school as a teacher. Her key to success is to learn about what you are going into not just one source, to have a target and different perspective, and to take the opinion of senior level people. The highlight of career is to develop housing policies and to make them happen and to see the people get a home. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
