Gloria L Jaramillo is a beautiful soul, full of passion and the desire to help people around her. She has translated an ample assortment of documents including press releases, website placings, newspaper articles, State Department documents, ambassadorial speeches and Op-Eds, and the State Department's Country Human Rights Reports for several consecutive years. Prior to her current role, Ms. Jaramillo has created, monitored, designed and distributed foreign and domestic media news clips for over 150 contacts, Embassy staff, and State Department visitors, she has translated, transcribed, dubbed and done voiceovers for featuring stories on numerous events of interest, as well as VOA-TV scripts for nationwide TV and Radio broadcasting. On occasion, Ms. Jaramillo has interpreted for DoS visitors, including Dr. Jo Biden on her May 2013 visit to Colombia. In her past, she also organized UK Government officials’ visits and duty tours to Colombia, interpreted for said visitors, liaised between Chancery Section and Top Colombian Government Officials Aids and their offices, read, classified, summarized and distributed daily circulation of press cuttings from seven leading Colombian newspapers for Foreign Officials, assisted Technical Cooperation Section with DFID’s various Aid Projects, and provided support to Technical Cooperation and Press Sections as well as HM Social Secretary, when necessary.
