Hilde Sandvik is founder of Broen.xyz, a distributed platform for Nordic news and events. Hilde holds an Associates degree in Nordic Languages and Literature from the University of Oslo and a Bachelors Degree in Art History from the University of Bergen. While Hilde began her Masters degree at the University of London Goldsmiths in Art History Criticism and Conversation, she was offered a job which would begin her lifelong career in the media production industry. Hilde worked for ten years as Deputy Editor at the Regional Newspaper Bergens Tidende, the main media house for Western Norway. Afterward, she decided to start her own company to bridge together not only Scandinavian countries, but Norway on a international level. Passionate about all Nordic topics and issues, Hilde is a board member for the Norwegian Association of Editors, Media Network and for Apollon, University of Oslo’s popular science magazine. She is an active member of the International Press Institute and the Norwegian Newspaper Association and was a board member of Contemporary Festivals Borealis.Before starting her career as deputy editor, she was co-author on a bestselling book on master suppression techniques, an issue she frequently gives lectures about.
