Miss Irene Alaya Adogboba is a recent graduate of Harvard University’s Master in Public Administration Program. She also holds Bachelor of Arts from the University of Ghana, and Masters in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is a public health specialist with 10 years of experience in health programs management, coordination, partnership building, capacity building, program and strategy development. She is a director at Health Partners Ghana and is currently an independent consultant, consulting for companies such as DAI, Boateng & Company Ltd. She is a member of the American Public Health Association.
She has experience working on several development projects in Africa. She also has experience working with the private, non-governmental and public health sector and in managing large multicultural teams in complex environments. She has lead youth empowerment projects and has enormous expertise in health policies and using behavioral science of economics to change behavior. She is conversant with advocacy, social mobilization and community engagement strategies. She is a strong advocate for child protection policies.
Also, a dynamic public speaker, who enjoy speaking to the youth about their enormous capacity and how to utilize it. Alaya credits her success thus far to her continued determination, desire for change, and genuine passion for the impact she has made in the lives of young people.
When not engaged with work, Irene enjoys reading, travel and dance.
