Ligia Saniz Balderrama is a Professor at Universidad Mayor de San Simon. She has been teaching cinema and research in linguistics for about 30 years, and she focuses on lecturing and creating lesson plans for students to explore linguistics.
She has had a passion for languages from a very young age, and currently speaks Spanish, English and French. She specializes in languages and linguistics, holding a Masters degree in Linguistics, 2006. She is a member of the Association of Women in Cinema, and is asked to guest speak in several centers in regard to her expertise in languages.
She has been published in both magazine articles as well as online articles. She has been awarded internally throughout her career in the university. On the horizon she is looking to focus on working more collaborating and investing time into organizations that support students in pursuing their doctoral degree. She credits her success to passion; she finds that passion has gotten her through the 30 years. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
