More than 25 years
A tourism industry professional for more than 25 years, Lucy Valenti, currently serving as the first female President of the National Tourism Chamber of Nicaragua, has experience occupying varied positions in public and private sectors in Nicaragua, Central America and in the Seychelles. Since the year 2000, after a successful career as a journalist, she decided to move to the private sector and worked in the airline business where she owned her own tour operator. Her illustrious expertise includes communication, airlines, tour operation and events organization.
Additionally, Ms. Valenti joined the academic sector serving as Dean of Tourism in one of the most prestigious private universities of Nicaragua, Universidad Americana. She is a lauded public speaker and is frequently requested for lectures and conferences, in addition to appearing in various magazines and publications.
Ms. Valenti holds her Master's degree in Sustainable Tourism from Universidad para la Cooperacion Internacional, which she received in 2003. Moving forward, she hopes to meet like-minded female professionals, and to gain recognition on a global scale. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and watching movies.
