Marianela Perez Abarca is Senior Vice President of Citi Service Center Costa Rica. With over seven years at Citibank, she has a total of 20 years of professional experience. She is responsible for all HR processes including working for all business partners, driving performance, training, talent acquisition, retention, compensation and mobility.
She studied psychology in school, and started her professional career in the HR department of a bank, liked it and steadily progressed to her current position. She has a Masters degree in Organizational Development from Independent University, 2001.
On the horizon, she would like to continue at the bank growing in challenging roles. She credits her success to continuing to learn, manage difficult situations, observing company business plan, and meeting objectives. Over the past 2 years she has been working on change management initiatives across business sectors. She enjoys walking, quilting, arts and crafts. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
