Marla Britt Fields is currently the Senior Technical Program Manager for Velo3D, a Metal 3D Printing company in California. She is responsible for the hardware and engineering operations programs as well as all documentation, feedback, and new processes for the hardware, lab, and field operations. Marla has been with the company for over a year and was instrumental for the company's first 3D Tool and set up at the first trade show the company attended. She is hands on with all hardware and engineering processes and loves getting involved with the actual mechanics. Marla is a very accomplished Operations and Integrated Engineer and has vast experience in hardware and software programs. Prior to this role, she worked in semiconductors for over 13 years and worked for Applied Materials in the Demo Lab as Sr Process Engineer, Line Manager and Sr Technical Program Manager. Marla is a member of The Project Management Institute and The Corporate Women's Initiative Consortium of Silicon Valley. She is a graduate of the Prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering. She is also the recipient of The Top 40 Under 40 in Tech Diversity in Silicon Valley, and The Top 40 Minority under 40. She is a Women's STEM Honoree at the 2018 Game Changers Luncheon. Marla is very passionate about helping NGO's that are near and dear to her. She is part of Girls on the Run of Silicon Valley and is on the Board of Directors. This organization gives young girls confidence and a voice. She was a Science Fair Review Board Member for The Greene Scholars Program which helps give scholarships to students in STEM courses.
