6-10 Years
For the past 5 years, Melanie J. Claborn has run StLouisSolutionsFirm.com, a real estate investment company she established. She is responsible for managing client relations, purchasing properties, managing contractors and running the finances for the firm. As a turn around company, she managed to obtain scale by partnering with another company to increase her portfolio to 11 homes currently under renovation. Having been faced with a personal crisis, Melanie was a stay-at-home mom who suddenly needed to provide for herself and her children when her marriage ended. She went back to school to obtain her teaching certification, but found the field wasn't write for her. She also tried editing, working in children's books for three years, before completing a Real Estate Education and license, and realizes she had found her passion. Melanie holds a bachelor's degree in Education from Western Governors University, class of 2012. She is an excellent manager of people, and known as a "big picture" person. She is a member of REIA, and helps to lead the Heartland Real Estate Group for Woman. Looking ahead, she hopes to coach others on the real estate sector, and to incorporate more travel into her monthly routine. She credits her success to being persistent and resilient.
