Nina Ozols is an innovative, fearless entrepreneur and founder of Cybertots, the first nursery school to employ webcams in the United Kingdom. She founded Cybertots in 1999, opening the first UK nursery with web cameras so parents could see children in real time. She had to get permission from the governmental council to employ the webcams, which was an arduous process. Twenty years later, she runs five web cam nurseries. Nina previously ran a graphic design business for 10 years, and collaborated with Lord John Bird (before he became Lord when he worked for her in her studio) to start "Big Issue" magazine, a magazine started to help the homeless. Prior to all this, Nina opened a French style cafe with tables outdoors, which was not permitted in London at that time. However, she successfully fought with the city council and received permission to open one.
Moving forward, Nina plans to build a school for children in Africa, open another nursery, and to continue to run the charity she runs that helps Eastern European immigrants.
