Paulina Villar is the Human Resources Director for Nexteer Automotive. She is an industrial engineer and started in different function, starting out in engineering then maintenance, then went into production, control, and logistics. She was given the opportunity to move into HR so she took it knowing it would be a good opportunity to improve and have more experience in her professional career.
She spoke at a regional congress of high-performance teams in the industry. The keys to her success are understanding the business and experience. In the next few years she would like to grow the company in Mexico. So far they have had three awards as a top company from Business Magazine.
Being a woman in the maintenance area is not usual in Mexico, so developing a team, starting new plans, and taking care of the maintenance area was a big challenge. That gave her the opportunity to grow in different areas as well. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
