Reema Masri launched Masri O Inc Architects in 2009. As the CEO of Masri, her day to day involves all the duties typical of the lead executive. All decisions live or die with her, so she spends much time analyzing the research and reports provided by her trusted support staff. As the principal architect, she meets with clients in both the private and sector to ensure their project would best be served by Masri O Inc. Upon obtaining projects, she determines which members of her team are best suited for the project and oversees the day to day process in meeting project objectives and goals. She prides herself on her projects taking into account not just functionality but incorporates human psychology and sociology into her designs since better buildings build better communities.
Being an architect is a childhood dream and coming from a male dominated society and architecture being a male dominated industry, she wasn't sure if it was a rational decision, but even as a little girl it's what she wanted to do. Reema specializes in multi-residential and institutional building design, designing structures that enhance the human experience by being relevant to peoples lives. She holds her Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Jordan. She is a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, the Liaison Committee with the Region of Waterloo, the Ontario Association of Architects and the KW Homebuilders Association. She lectures on the topic of ICF construction and affordable housing at forums such as Construct Canada and the Cement Association of Canada.
When not engaged with work, Reema enjoys traveling, sports, reading, and music.
