Renee Leverette is already an accomplished Attorney at McGivney, Kluger & Cook PC in Delaware. She has been at the firm for about 2 months and is working primarily depositions, and workman's comp and litigation. She completed her Juris Doctor in Law in 2014 from Temple University, going to school at night while raising her 11 year old. She started her education at The University of Delaware studying Philosophy, which gave her insight on the human condition.
Having passed the Bar after the first try, Renee is a member of the American Bar Association and the Delaware Bar Association. She has worked as a Certified Legal Intern at Chester County District Attorney's Office and while at Temple University she was a Research Assistant. Most notably, she was Deputy Attorney General for The Delaware Department of Justice. There she controlled the call calendar in court, negotiation pleas, and engaging with defense attorneys as well as trying cases in bench and jury trials. Heavy research, drafting motions, memos, and briefs.
Renee was awarded the Lena Hale Award at Temple and the Certificate of Merit Ruben Public Interest Award, as well as being in the Honors Society. She mentors through the Big Brother Big Sister Foundation and is active in mentoring other young women in the legal field. Looking ahead, she hopes to become barred in other states to enable her to practice law nationally.
