Sandra Cortes Lopez has over 12 years of experience in her current field. She is a Civil Engineer for the mayor of Medellin City. She works on transportation, mobility and city planning, particularly as it relates to capacity, travel times, passengers, etc.
Her initial interest was in construction at the start of her studies; but she got an opportunity to work in the field of transportation and planning and really liked it. She was worked on several manuals for her work.
In the next few years she would like to finish her Master’s degree. Her trip to Japan showed her the value of International exchange of knowledge and she wants more of this in her career as part of her professional development. She is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
