Shawn Conner has been the Senior Finance Manager for U.S. Marine Corps for eleven years. He manages fifty accounting technicians and four supervisors and they are responsible for invoices and bills for the marine corp. Shawn majored in accounting and moved into a supervising position and eventually his work experience brought him to his current position.
Shawn’s expertise are in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and management. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from North Carolina A&T State University in 1991. He also has his Associates in Premium Auditing, an Accounts Payable Manager Certification and an Accounts Receivable Financial Certification.
In the next few years he sees himself with his Master's (MBA) and sees himself running an accounting department and working within project management. He attributes his success to staying flexible and willing to learn from others and not being afraid to try new things. He is looking forward to networking and connecting with other like-minded professionals, and to gaining the recognition and credibility of being a member.
