Personal Information
With over 29 years of experience in her field, Teresa Vergara is a Historian at Pontificia Universidad where she conducts teaching and research, specifically on the history of Lima, the colonial period and Latin American history in general. With a true passion for understanding how people interacted before, Teresa is committed to understanding the indigenous people in her native country of Peru and excavating any enlightening information.
Teresa holds her PhD in Latin American History from the University of Connecticut and is a member of the Latin American Studies Association. Also a prolific writer, she has published an article in an academics journal and does as many speaking engagements as possible.
When not engaged with work, Teresa enjoys traveling.
