Yi Huang is Director of Business Development for Merck, a leading science and technology company in healthcare, life science and performance materials within the pharmaceutical industry. Yi holds a specialized Masters Degree in International Marketing from EMYLON Business School, a degree from ECOLE in Fine Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and a Bachelors of Science degree from Fudan University in Applied Chemistry and International Economics. She plansto continue to grow with Merck Group. Yi began her career working in the Shanghai offices for BASF, the largest chemical company in the world. From China, she travelled to France in contract with Erament, a mining and metallurgy company, to facilitate a joint venture in China—her ability to speak Chinese, French and English proved extremely useful. Next, Yi went to work with Arkema, a chemicals and advanced materials company as Global Quality Manager and later as Global Business Manager. Prior to her current position, Yi worked for Novozymes, a global biotechnology company in Denmark, where she served as Senior Manager, Business Development, though the role was rather more complex than indicated by the title.
