The Worldwide Association of Female Professionals Recognizes Ida Haisma
Ida Haisma, since May this year Deputy director/Head of the Knowledge and Policy Unit at Nefarma, The Dutch association for innovative medicine in The Hague. Where she is also responsible for the portfolio on Patients interests and Science. Core is the relations with the so-called triple helix partners (public, private and knowledge institutions) and the other (inter-)national stakeholders. Apart from this, an important task is to contribute to the new positioning of the association, so that they will be seen and experienced as ‘a trusted partner in care and cure’. After having spend 21 years in the broad (public and semi-public) domain of safety and security, she will now have more attention for the private sector. Apart from that, contributing to another important societal theme, gives her new opportunities for development.
Ida has a Masters degree in Law, and a Bachelors in Art History from the University of Utrecht, 1985. She is active in many European and international projects and has good connections with the Dutch industry, academia and has an extensive international network. As such, she can contribute perfectly as part of an international network.
Previously she was Director of The Hague Security Delta, and a security professional of over 25 years. The Hague Security Delta (HSD) is the largest security cluster in Europe. Ida was a valuable member of the Security Advisory Group to the European Commission.
Ida’s remarkable and impressive résumé confirms her standing as a vital member of the Worldwide Association of Female Professionals. She has worked 5 years for TNO, The Dutch Institute for applied research director of innovation at TNO, for the division Safety and Security Research. Her primary areas of expertise are “Resilience and Society” and “Security and Protection”. Building on her previous experience, she can bring social sciences and technological development together for solutions in cure and care and safety and security. Before she worked seven years for the Netherlands Centre for Crime Prevention and Community Safety (the CCV) as managing director. In this function she brought public and private parties together and managed to bring policy into a working reality. Ida resides in the Netherlands.
