Laurie K. Grant is the Founder and CEO of FutureWave Group Inc, a consulting company that designs and implements business transformation solutions for organizations including Fortune Top 50 corporations, multi-nationals, mid-sized businesses and start-ups. With a true entrepreneurial spirit and over 20 years of experience, Laurie is esteemed by her clients and colleagues for an unprecedented ability to assess any challenge at hand and generate the most innovative and sustainable solution. Her expertise in enterprise analysis and architecture, change management, policy development, and strategic planning foster thriving growth in those she works with.
 
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from York University, Laurie went on to receive Certificates in Enterprise Analysis and Consulting Skills, and Technical and Professional Writing, also from York University, as well as a Certificate in Quality Service Skills and Interpersonal Managing Skills from Learning International. Before founding FutureWave Group Inc, Laurie garnered copious experience in her field while serving as a Managing Consultant with IBM Canada Ltd, an Enterprise Business Strategist with Shore Consulting Group, a Project Manager for Klick Inc, a Senior Business Analyst with CIBC, a Research Assistant of Technical Computer Support at York University, a Senior Business Systems Analyst at Necho Systems Corp, and a Business Analyst, Senior Technical Analyst, and Senior Information Analyst at EDS.
 
Laurie is a member in proud good standing of the IEEE, International Institute for Business Analysis, the Project Management Institute, Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance for Women in Technology and Association for Computing Machinery. While at CIBC, Laurie was publicly recognized for her consulting achievements, when she was the recipient of the Achievers Quarterly Team Award for Top Performance. Laurie is often asked to share her wealth of knowledge, and her writing has appeared in various publications including “50 Seeds of Greatness” by Germaine Moody, “Empowered Women of Social Media – Finding Global Unity in Social Communities”, and “Chocolate and Diamonds for the Woman’s Soul: Timeless Treasures to Warm the Heart”.
 
In addition to her industrious presence in the workplace, Laurie finds time to serve her community and is an active humanitarian and mentor, frequently donating her time, resources, and expertise to causes enriching animal welfare, education, and others. She served as Editor-in-Chief of the Special Education Newsletter for Northern Secondary School, managed web content for the Canadian Voice of Women for Peace, was Volunteer Coordinator of Teaching Respect in Schools via IBM, and is currently a Business Coach and Mentor through Hot Pink Publishing Group. She currently resides in Ontario, Canada, and when not engaged in her flourishing business, Laurie is an avid reader of science fiction novels, a devoted mother and enjoys gardening.
