Sherry L. Lay just opened the consulting company Retail Chemistry in November of 2015, after working for corporate companies for more than 25 years. Her prior experience lends valuable skills accumulated in big brand retail establishments like Ann Taylor, L Brands, Sunglass Hut International, and The Body Shop. As CEO and President of Retail Chemistry, she provides strategic marketing and merchandise direction to small-business owners who are faced with new challenges every day.
 
A visionary retail leader with a 25-year track record of providing outstanding merchandising, product and brand management, Sherry excels at consistently growing sales and revenues, market share, profit margins and building, developing and empowering teams to succeed. Brings extensive expertise in product development, inventory control, product, market analysis, forecasting, financial management, product marketing, strategic planning and change management.
 
At Retail Chemistry, Sherry and her team pride themselves by being highly knowledgeable about successful business needs. They help to look at things from a new perspective, and mentor and help to find the right solutions for challenging situations.
 
Sherry focuses more on the “little guy” while utilizing her big brand experience. She loves coaching and mentoring, hoping for nothing but success for her clients through her teachings and guidance.  She particularly likes to coach her clients through her direct experience, taking great satisfaction in giving them the knowledge that she has learned over the years.
 
Sherry seeks to continue to grow her business and help others by consulting smaller businesses, helping to keep the little guy in the industry for success. The highlight of her career has been and will continue to be developing people to succeed in whatever career they are in.
 
Furthering her passion for helping others, she is involved with Make a Wish Foundation and United Way. In her spare time she enjoys reading fiction and non-fiction books, playing tennis and staying active through exercise near her home in Raleigh, North Carolina.
